Suzette has been in the Beauty Industry
since 1969. Prior to that Suzette studied Medical Technology and Nutritional
Science. After qualifying as a Beauty Therapist in 1973, she set up a training
centre in 1977, in conjunction with her existing health, hair and beauty centre
in Canberra. By 1984 it was the largest clinic of its kind in Australia.
In 1986 Suzette moved to Queensland, opened a salon in Burleigh Heads and
established "Elleebana", producing an Australian skin care range. In
1991 she became the Chairperson of the Association of Professional
Aestheticians of Australia (APAA) for Queensland and in 1992 was elected
National President.
Suzette still plays an active role in the APAA as a member of the National
Executive, and received a special award for services to the Beauty Industry in
1999. As a member of the Quality Management Committee, Suzette oversees the
quality control of the Advanced Diploma of Health Science (Aesthetics) and the
Bachelor of Health Science degree in Aesthetics Therapy. |
