The APAA is Australia's Premier Professional Beauty Association boasting more than 50 years of Industry Leading Excellence. The APAA is the oldest and most active National Association in the Beauty Industry and has set the standards for Professional Beauty Therapy in Australia. Today, with representation in every State, the APAA is recognised for its commitment to education and raising the standards within its membership so that the public can be assured they are in the hands of competent professionals.
The Gold Coast Training Academy is currently the ONLY Beauty Therapy training provider on the Gold Coast accredited with the APAA as an Educational Sponsor. We can confidentially guarantee students unlimited support and guidance from both the college and the APAA for as long as they are in the industry.
As a graduate of the Gold Coast Training Academy you are automatically eligible to become a Grade One member of the APAA, whereas training at a non-accredited provider you would have to spend 5 years working in the Industry to gain eligibility. Being an APAA accredited college means that aside from this obvious advantage, the Gold Coast Training Academy and its students also get to participate in many other Industry recognised and supported seminars, workshops, award ceremony’s and much more.
Each year the Gold Coast Training Academy in conjunction with the APAA, award ‘Student of the Year’ to a lucky graduate. This award not only enhances job prospects but puts that student in the running to win a ‘National Student of the Year Award’ issued by the APAA at their National Awards of Excellence evening held in May each year.
The Gold Coast Training Academy also supports the APAA by encouraging students to attend the National Student Conference. The conference covers important areas new therapists to the Industry need to know, key criteria that employers are looking for when choosing staff, recommended insurance cover through Parmia Insurance for those therapists contracting or starting a business, the latest procedures and techniques entering the Industry as well as the opportunity to view many inspirational presentations from respected Industry Professionals.
